They say
Some people come in life
as a blessing,
others as a lesson.

Maybe it’s too explicit.

False impressions and cruel intentions
are doomed to dust
when the love is mutual,
and the feelings reciprocate.

It all flashes before eyes
when things shatter,
when they get broken, beyond repair.

Under apprehensions
of beautiful moments spent;
and subsequent moments of
self-introspection and self-realization,
the questions that linger are
self-seeking and self-serving.

Failing to understand
the deep-rooted meanings,
the obvious manifestations
are left behind.

To ask;
Where did we stand in their life?
What were we for them?

A blessing
A lesson?
